The Mk5-F2C4 Panther is the European Union's mainline knightmare frame in Code Geass Megiddo.
This unit looks like the MS-06Fz Zaku II Kai from Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, but changed over to fit as a KF. The Zaku's original helmet is replaced with the "B-type" (Stahlhelm) design, while the right shoulder shield assembly is also replaced with another spiked armored pauldron as on the left. As well, it uses a standard assault rifle that's based on the Sturmgewehr 44 of real life, alongside a rocket launcher much like a Panzerschreck. For colors, it's usually painted in the EU's standard feldgrau pattern, though a large number of alterations exist.
The premiere fifth generation knightmare frame of the European Union, the Mk5-F2C4 Panther was a radical departure from standard European ideology. Though it still retained heavy armor as had become a standard with its predecessor, the Mk3-E2E8 Panzer Hummel, it holds comparable speed and maneuverability to its Britannian contemporaries. The original "conehead" sensors used by the previous model has been replaced with a new humanoid head equipped with a single mono-eye sensor on a track, allowing it to move nearly one hundred and eighty degrees across. Along with the stylized "stahlhelm" helmet and "gas mask" faceplate, this gives the Panther a similar appearence to a German panzergrenadier.
For weapons, the Panther was designed around medium to long-ranged combat, armed with forearm mounted machine cannons and slash harkens for its primary weapons, as well as capable of utilizing a hand-held machine gun that could be equipped with a bayonet or grenade launcher, a longer range cannon or a more heavy duty rocket launcher. Compared to the RPI-13 Sutherland, Britannia's mainline fifth generation knightmare, the Panther is slower and heavier, but features better durability and offensive power over its contemporary.
- MG55 15mm Machine Cannon

For some time since its introduction, Britannian knightmares were unable to do serious damage to the Panther in direct combat, as unlike previous EU knightmares, the Panther could keep up with the Sutherland and the RPI-11 Glasgow, as well as engage in close-quarters combat. As a result, the Panther has met with great success as the EU's mainline unit against those of Britannia and the Chinese Federation. By 2025, the Panther continues to be the European Union's primary knightmare frame and is fielded all over the Eurasian continent by multiple military forces. But in spite of its success, it is still an outdated machine by modern standards, and thus is slated for retirement and replacement by the EU's new eighth generation knightmare frame, the Mk8-M9X4 Loewe.
