The Mk3-E2E8 Panzer-Hummel was a 4th-generation Knightmare Frame originally designed and produced by the Euro-Universe as their mainstray forces. In TNB, however, the old frame is now retired and is no longer produced. Many Panzer-Hummels are still actively used, however, for terrorists acts by various anti-government groups.
The same as the original in the anime. The coloring varies depending on the group.
The Panzer-Hummel possesses two auto-cannons mounted on its arms in the place of hands, two machine cannons attached to its hips, six missile launchers divided into two cells, and two Slash Harkens mounted on the hips. They are more mobile than Sutherlands, and are most likely incapable of hand-to-hand combat, due to their lack of proper limbs. However, the frame is quite effective at long-range fighting, particularly in defensive battles.
- Slash Harken
- The Slash Harken is the signature weapon of the Knightmare Frame, and is used by almost all KMF models. Originally introduced on the RPI-11 Glasgow, the Harkens are wire-guided projectiles with some form of anchor-like blunt object at its tip. They can be used in multiple ways varying from offensive to defensive, or as a means of transportation via anchoring them in an object, and retracting the cable. The Panzer-Hummel is equipped with two small Slash Harkens located on the exterior side on its hips next to its machine cannons.
- The Panzer-Hummel has two auto-cannons, each mounted on one of its arms. The auto-cannons are accurate and powerful long-range weapons that can take out a Sutherland in one hit from far away.
- Machine Cannon
- The Panzer-Hummel has two machines cannons, each mounted on one of its hips. While not quite as powerful or accurate as the auto-cannons, they have a faster rate of fire.
- Missile Pod
- Basic 3-tube missile pods, hidden within chest compartment.
In an attempt to match the effectiveness of Britannian Knightmare Frames, the Euro-Universe designed the Panzer-Hummel, which, unlike general-purpose Britannian frames, focused solely on long-range combat. The frame was used to great effect in fighting against Britannian Sutherlands during the war between the EU and Britannia, though the Empire's newer 7th-generation frames were able to easily outclass them. However, when portions of the EU joined the UFN in 2018, the frame was still used in large numbers as long-range support for the Black Knights other Knightmares, such as the Akatsuki, against Britannia.
After Britannia's entrance into the UFN, however, the Panzer-Hummel was quickly phased out of production as the Black Knights added both the Vincent and Akatsuki frames to their forces, thereby removing the need for any 5th-generation or below models. However, many Panzer-Hummels are still used by terrorist groups who oppose the current order throughout the world, particularly in regions within Europe and Africa. It is believed that these groups obtained their frames from black market military contractors who continue to produce the frame for money despite the ban on all military industry.
